The Living Christ and Our Future New Body
Jesus established a new way of life when He rose from the dead. This week, Rev. Mike Cariño assures the faithful in Christ that we will experience resurrection in a renewed body and live in a new reality that surpasses our expectations.

Life Group Discussion Guide
1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
– Share how you’ve been taking care of your earthly body while still embracing its limitations.
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
– Read the passage. What are the main points from this section of Scripture and how does it connect with the past two messages on the resurrection?
– How does resurrection differ from reincarnation?
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
– Be honest: In what ways have you been investing more into your earthly body rather than preparing for eternity? What do you think are your motivations for doing so?
– How does the idea of living for Christ rather than for yourself challenge your current lifestyle and priorities? Do you find it difficult to surrender them?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
– What practical steps can you take to live with an eternal perspective, focusing less on the temporary state of your earthly body and more on the hope of your future resurrection body?
– How does knowing that your resurrection body will be raised in glory and power affect your current view of suffering, sickness, or physical weakness? Who can you share this hope of resurrection with?
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
– Praise God for the hope of the resurrection and the promise of a transformed body through His power. Thank Him for the assurance that, through Jesus Christ, we will be raised from death to eternal life and given a body that is glorious, imperishable, and fit for His heavenly kingdom. Rejoice in the victory over death and the future we have in Christ, where our weak and perishable bodies will be made new in His glory.
– Repent for the times you have focused too much on your mortal body and neglected the eternal significance of your life in Christ. Ask for forgiveness for investing more in worldly pursuits and self-centered desires than in living for God’s eternal kingdom. Pray for a heart that seeks to live in the power of the resurrection, with Christ at the center of all that you do, so that your life may be a testimony of His transforming work.
