Despite the personal nature of our faith, it is still necessary for us to regularly come together for corporate worship. Listen to Pastor Jared Co this week as he explains the reasons, methods, and blessings of worship and the necessity of meeting together as a church.

Life Group Discussion Guide
1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
– Share when and why you feel most connected to God during corporate worship—during singing, the sermon, prayer, or another moment.
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
– Read the passage. List the kinds of activities in the assemblies according to verse 26. What goal should each gift accomplish in the assembly? How can this verse be applied today?
– How do order and silence contribute to worship and building others up?
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
– If you have ever struggled to attend church consistently, what were the challenges, and how did you overcome them (or currently working through them)? Can you say that you prioritize gathering for corporate worship, or do you let busyness and personal preferences interfere with your regular Sunday worship?
– When participating in worship, are you focused on your own tastes and needs, or are you truly seeking to glorify God and build others up? What do you think is the root cause of this?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
– What practical steps can you take to ensure that you make corporate worship a non-negotiable part of your life?
– In what ways can you surrender your personal preferences and focus on glorifying God in your worship experience?
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
– Praise the Lord for the gift of corporate worship that draws us together as a body of believers to glorify Him. Thank Him for His presence in our gatherings, for building us up as a holy and mature people for His kingdom. Rejoice in His goodness and grace, which make our worship meaningful and transformative, shaping us into the image of Christ as we honor Him.
– Repent for the times you have allowed personal preferences, distractions, or busyness to hinder your participation in corporate worship. Ask for forgiveness for putting yourself at the center rather than God, and for neglecting the call to build others up in love. Pray for a heart that seeks His glory alone, setting aside self-centered motivations so that your worship may reflect Christ’s humility and grace.
