事奉的選擇 – The Choice to Serve
約書亞要以色列人作一個選擇, 你們要委身事奉神呢或是事奉其他的神, 人生是在乎選擇 Life is all about choices; 我們今天成為了怎樣的人, 這與我們過去的選擇有關的, 我們現在的婚姻, 家庭, 事業與事奉都是過去選擇的結果; 約書亞在離世以前, 他要以色列人作一個慎重的選擇, 絕對不能隨便, V14-27告訴我們在選擇前要有三方面的考慮: 1.基於過去經歷的考慮 2.基於上帝聖潔的考慮 3.基於全人委身的考慮。

Life Group Discussion Guide
1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
• Share 1-2 major decisions you’ve had to make in your life? How did these decisions affect your life?
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
• Read the passage. What is the significance of telling the history of Israel?
• What kind of decision did the Israelites have to make? Why is making this decision important?
• For you, what does serving the Lord look like?
• What did you learn through the book of Joshua?
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
• What do you like about making decisions? What do you least like about making decisions?
• What does it mean to serve the Lord?
• If you have made the decision to serve the Lord, do you find serving the Lord easy or difficult? Why do you say so?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
• What decisions do you have to make right now? How should your knowledge, experience, and relationship with Jesus affect your decisions?
• Spend a few minutes to recall how God has been present in your life. How would you like to respond to God?
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
• Thank God for His presence in our life – that He does not leave us, nor forsake us; for His guidance and leading; for fighting the battles; for being trustworthy and for keeping His promises.
• Pray for continued trust in the Lord our God who is able and sovereign especially in times when difficulties cloud our mind and heart. Pray for continued hope in the Lord who has plans for our ultimate good and eternal assurance.
