Living in Unity and Harmony

Sometimes, being accountable for one another means confronting our fellow believers because of sin. This week, Ptr. Nathan Tee reminds us to be motivated by the desire to build each other up in truth so we can relate and listen to one another with grace and understanding.

1. Start with a prayer

2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
– Share a time when something you did or said was misunderstood. How did it go?

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
– Read the passage. What is the reason for the two and a half tribes to build an altar?
– What is the reason for nine and a half tribes to accuse and judge the two and a half tribes?
– What did you learn from the passage?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
– What is your attitude towards people who have misunderstood your actions?
– In what way do you resonate with the nine and a half tribes where you jumped into conclusion and misjudged another person?
– Both parties were concerned about worshiping God. For you, how important is it to worship God?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
– Is there a misunderstanding that you need to clarify? Did you judge someone too easily? What can you initiate to honor God in your relationships?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
– Praise God because He is worthy of our worship, He alone is the true God, and He is able to unite and restore relationships.
– Pray for believers to have hearts focused on Jesus, to worship God and not depart from Him, and to choose to accept and love one another.
