戰爭是屬乎神的 The Battle Belongs to God
約書亞記第十章是記載約書亞與南方諸王之戰, 這場戰爭是一個例子証明戰爭是屬乎神的, 因為從開始到結束一切都在神的手中。我們可以從三個角度來思想這場戰爭: 1.沒有一人能站立得住 2.沒有一日比這日更長 3.沒有一人可以留下來。
The battle belongs to God, and everything is in God’s hands from beginning to end. This week, Rev. Cheung uses Joshua 10 to show us how mightily God will intervene when we realize that the battle belongs to Him.

Life Group Discussion Guide
1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
• What stood out for you from last Sunday’s message?
• What is something you want to surrender to God? (e.g. health, finances, relationship, work, a specific situation you struggle with, etc.)
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
• Read the passage. What options did Joshua have when the Gibeonites asked for help? How did Joshua respond to them?
• How do you understand vv. 12-13? (Note to leaders: Take a few minutes to let the members look into these verses. Recalling what the group learned from the Sunday message or using Study Bibles can be helpful. Research together and share what each has found.)
• What did you learn about God through this passage?
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
• Have you faced a situation similar to Joshua where you struggled to help your “enemy”? What happened?
• Knowing about who God is in this passage, how does this change your attitude and how you approach God as you surrender the situation you shared in ‘Engage with one another’?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
• Spend a few minutes of silence. Pray silently as you lift up to God all your struggles and turn this into surrender and dependence.
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
• Thank God for fighting with us and for us. Praise Him for giving us courage to face life’s challenges and for not leaving us nor forsaking us.
• Ask for God’s forgiveness for the times when we underestimate God’s ability and power to turn our situation around.
• Pray for surrender and dependence knowing that our struggles and situations are in God’s hands.
