Tuning in to God is like listening to a radio station: it’s only when we’re on the right frequency that we can hear Him clearly. This Sunday, Rev. Jeremiah Cheung uses Psalm 19 to show us the three voices we need to tune into, so we may sense God’s presence and know His heart.

Life Group Discussion Guide
1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
- Share an experience with nature that made you stop, appreciate, or feel amazed at who God is. Which specific character and attribute stood out to you through that experience?
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
- Read the psalm. What does creation reveal about God, even though we cannot see the Creator Himself?
- Why is God’s word described as being more precious than gold and sweeter than honey? What does this reveal about how God wants us to value His word?
4. Examine the heart (15-20 mins)
- What competes with God’s word for your attention, affection, or trust?
- How would you honestly describe your appetite for God and His word right now: something you treasure and enjoy, or something you mostly turn to when you need help? Why?
5. Empower the hands (15-20 mins)
- What voices do you listen to? How can you listen more intentionally to God through His word?
- What sin, attitude, pattern, or compromise is God asking you to surrender? What will that look like starting this week? Who can help you remain accountable as you respond to what God is showing you through His word/prayer?
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
- Praise our Almighty God for revealing His glory through creation and making Himself known to us through His word. Thank Him that His word is trustworthy, life-giving, satisfying, and able to transform our lives. Rejoice that we can know our Creator and hear His voice through Scripture.
- Repent for failing to listen to God’s voice, for allowing worldly pursuits to become more precious than His word, and for tolerating sins that God has already revealed. Ask the Lord to expose hidden sins, restrain you from willful sins, and make the words of your mouth and the meditation of your heart pleasing to Him.
