Jesus likened God’s Kingdom to seeds that sprout and grow to show that the workings of God’s kingdom are beyond human capability and comprehension. This week, Rev. Jeremiah Cheung explores two of Jesus’ parables to remind us that we can only bear fruit in life through God’s grace and favor.

1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
• Share something in your life that started small but eventually grew into something meaningful or impactful. What happened?
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
• Read the passage. What do the parables teach about how God’s kingdom operates?
• What is our role and what is God’s role in spiritual growth and discipleship?
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
• Be honest: Do you trust that God is at work even when you don’t see immediate or desired results in your ministry, relationships, or spiritual growth? Why or why not?
• In what ways do you struggle with wanting to control the outcome rather than cooperating with God’s unseen work? What mindset needs to be changed?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
• How can you better practice patience and humility in waiting for God’s timing in the growth process—either in yourself or others?
• What is one seed you can intentionally plant this week in someone’s life—whether through encouragement, testimony, or prayer?
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
• Praise the Heavenly Father for His sovereign hand that brings growth and transformation. Thank Him for the privilege of partnering with Him in His kingdom work. Rejoice that even the smallest acts of obedience, like planting seeds, are used by Him to bring about great outcomes for His glory.
• Repent for the times you have doubted God’s timing and tried to take control of outcomes that belong to Him alone. Ask for forgiveness for when you’ve been impatient with people’s growth or exclusive in your relationships. Pray for a humble and trusting heart that recognizes God’s favor and cooperates with His unseen work.
