Kingdom Growth

God’s Kingdom goes beyond what we can perceive or understand. It begins humbly, like a tiny seed. And while we don’t always see it, the Almighty God is constantly at work. This week, Pastor Nathan Tee reminds us that God is growing His Kingdom toward a plentiful harvest. Let us patiently trust in Him even as we wait in eager anticipation.

1. Start with a prayer

2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
– Think of a time when you felt like your efforts weren’t producing any visible results. How did you respond to that situation?

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
– Read the passage. What do the parables teach about how God’s kingdom operates?
– What is our role and what is God’s role in spiritual growth and discipleship?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
– How do you handle the “ordinary days” of following Christ when it feels like nothing significant is happening in your life or ministry? Do you ever feel discouraged when your spiritual efforts don’t seem to bear fruit immediately? What helps you continue when you can’t see the results?
– What areas of your life are you struggling to trust in God’s timing and His promise of eventual growth? How can you work on trusting Him more in those areas?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
– What small, seemingly insignificant actions can you take today that contribute to the growth of God’s Kingdom, even if you can’t immediately perceive their impact?
– In what ways can you encourage others who may be discouraged by the “”smallness”” of their efforts in the Kingdom of God?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
– Praise God for His sovereign power that brings about growth beyond our human understanding. Thank Him for the privilege to participate in His work, and for the assurance that even in our ordinary days, He is working mightily to produce fruit that we may not always see immediately.
– Repent for the times when you doubted God’s timing or grew weary of the ordinary, unremarkable days of service. Ask for forgiveness for relying on your understanding and perception rather than trusting His perfect plan. Pray for a heart that remains steadfast and faithful, even when results aren’t immediately visible.
