The Crown Who Was No King

1. Start with a prayer

2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
– In what way have you experienced God’s grace in the past weeks?

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
– Read the passage. Identify the following: Who are the people in the passage? What is the situation?
– God is not mentioned in the story. In what way do you see God’s hands in the story?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
– Describe the people present in the story. Do you resonate with any of them?
– Has there been a time when you don’t “see” God in your situation? What was it like for you?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
– How would you like to respond to God in times when God seems invisible?
– What are some actions you can take to deepen your faith to trust God even when you don’t see His hands in the situation?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
– Praise the Lord for His grace, love, provision, and sustenance. Thank God for His work in our lives despite our limited wisdom and vision of His work in our lives.
– Repent of times when we tend to doubt and question God’s ability and presence.
– Pray for continued trust and knowledge of who God is that we may be equipped in times of difficulties to cling on to Him.
