Amos shows us how an intercessor may plead for the Lord’s mercy and delay the Lord’s judgment, but the day will still come when the justice can no longer be denied. Let us not mistake God’s grace as a license to sin and indulge as we please.
Amos shows us what happens when the anger of our righteous and just God boils over and His judgment is meted out to the unrepentant. Let us learn from the mistakes of others before the day of His judgment arrives.
The Lord warns the complacent and the callous that their days of ‘feasting and lounging’ will soon end, for they do not help the unfortunate or care for the ones who have strayed from the Lord. Let us heed His grave warning.
