Do you truly worship the Lord and are you ready to meet Him? The day of the Lord is coming and it signifies salvation for some, but judgment for others. What will it mean for you?

Even as Israel was on the cusp of receiving the Lord’s terrible judgment, Amos offers a glimmer of hope. Let us forsake the trappings of religiousness and instead seek the Creator and do what pleases Him, for therein lies our salvation.

The words of warning delivered by Amos in Chapter 4 verses 6 to 13 could very well have been directed to us who are alive today. Let us learn from the mistakes of Israel and devote our lives preparing for the Lord’s return.

In Amos 4, the prophet says to Israel, “Go and do as you please!” How frightening it is to hear such a message from the Lord for it means the day of His judgment is coming. May our fear of the Lord keep us from provoking His anger.
