One Body, Many Functions
Our unique spiritual gifts allow us to come together like different body parts that connect to form one body. This week, Pastor Nathan Tee shares how we all can contribute to the church’s growth regardless of our gifts. We all make a difference in the eyes of God.

Life Group Discussion Guide
1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
– Share a time when someone used their spiritual gift to help or encourage you. How did it impact you?
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
– Read the passage. What is the point of the illustration on the different body parts (vv.15-16)? How does it apply to spiritual gifts? How does v.17 fit the illustration?
– What can you learn about stewarding your spiritual gifts from the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30)?
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
– Do you find yourself measuring your worth and significance based on how important you are to your community? How can you shift your perspective to embrace your identity and worth in Christ?
– Are you more prone to pride or fear in your interactions with others in the church? How has this affected your sense of belonging and how you relate to others?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
– Identify one area where pride or fear has influenced your relationship with others in the church. What specific steps can you take to address and overcome this tendency?
– Choose someone in your church who has a different role or gifting than you. How can you honor and support them in a tangible way this week, celebrating their contribution to the body of Christ?
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
– Praise God for the unity of the body of Christ and thank Him for baptizing us into one Body through His Spirit. Express your gratitude for the diverse spiritual gifts He has bestowed upon us, each contributing to the building up of His church. Thank Him for the way He has uniquely equipped us to serve one another and glorify His Name.
– Approach the Heavenly Father in repentance for any feelings of envy or pride regarding your spiritual gifts. Ask for forgiveness for the times you have felt unimportant or overly important based on the gifts you possess. Pray that you would recognize the value of each gift and to humbly depend on others as you seek to build up the body of Christ.
