長不大的嬰兒 Mere Infants
哥林多教會的信徒是一群長不大的嬰孩,他們自私又不成熟. 本週,張國強牧師提醒我們在與主裡弟兄姊妹交往時要注意自己的思想和行為, 追求十字架上的智慧與恩典的成熟.
The Apostle Paul rebuked the Corinthian church for their selfishness and immaturity. This week, Rev. Jeremiah Cheung admonishes us to be mindful of our thoughts and actions when we interact with our brothers and sisters in the Lord. Let us seek the wisdom and grace of the cross of Jesus Christ.

Life Group Discussion Guide
1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
– Share a time when you delayed gratification and sought spiritual discipline. How did this impact your spiritual growth and faith journey?
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
– Read the passage. How do you see the Corinthian problem of seeming perpetual immaturity/worldliness often repeated in today’s churches?
– Give further situations and examples (both subtle and obvious) wherein the worldly behavior of the Corinthians (jealousy, quarreling, division) can be observed in Christians today.
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
– Reflect on your own behaviors and attitudes. Do you tend to engage in debates, criticize others, or foster conflict? What do you think is the root cause for doing so?
– Think about a recent situation where you felt tempted to engage in divisive behavior or align with a particular leader at the expense of unity. How can you approach such situations differently in the future, keeping in mind the reminder that leaders are servants of the Lord?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
– Evaluate your own spiritual growth and maturity. In what areas do you see room for improvement? How can you actively work toward crucifying the flesh and cultivating spiritual discipline?
– Identify at least one practical step you can take to deepen your understanding of God’s Word on a regular basis (e.g. a specific study plan, joining a Life Group, seeking guidance from a spiritual mentor).
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
– Thank the Heavenly Father for the gift of the Holy Spirit, Who dwells within us upon faith in Jesus Christ and brings about transformation in our lives. Praise Him for the discipline that He instills in you, enabling you to delay gratification and choose a path of spiritual maturity. Thank Him for His Word that nourishes our souls, guiding us from spiritual infancy to deeper truths. Express your gratitude for His abundant grace and the opportunity to grow in His love.
– Humbly acknowledge the areas in your life where you have exhibited worldly behavior. Ask for forgiveness for the moments of jealousy, where you failed to recognize that all glory and honor belong to God. Repent for instances of quarreling, where you prioritized your opinions over unity and peace. Ask God to cleanse you of any divisive tendencies and help you embrace the understanding that leaders are His servants, working toward a common goal.
