Turning Point


While our God is the God of great miracles, He is also the God of ordinary situations. This week, Rev. Genesis Tan shares how God uses ordinary means to fulfill His good plans, for even seemingly insignificant events can be used by God to turn our troubles into triumphs.

1. Start with a prayer

2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
– Share an experience or an observation of what humility and pride look like.

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
– Read the passage. What happened to King Xerxes?
– What happened to Haman?
– What happened to Mordecai?
– Where do you see God’s providence in this passage?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
– For you, what does God’s providence mean? How do you see this in your everyday life? Be specific.
– What does humility in your life look like? What does pride look like in your life?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
– What Truth do you want to hold on to?
– What specific actions will you take to make this Truth alive in your daily life?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
– Thank God for His presence and providence. Praise Him because these are not dependent on us but are His character and will.
– Repent of times when we let pride take over our hearts and we desire to harm others because of our selfishness.
– Pray for awareness and joy of God’s presence and His providence. Pray for humility and love for others and to trust God’s character and timing.
