1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
– What is your idea of a missionary? (e.g What does a missionary do? How does a person become a missionary? Who can become a missionary?)
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
– Read the passage. What is the mission that the Lord Jesus has given Paul?
– How did Paul accomplish his mission?
– What are some challenges that Paul faced in preaching the Gospel? What kind of help did Paul need?
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
– What is God telling you through this passage?
– What kind of mission does God have for you?
– What is your feeling/attitude towards God’s mission for you?
– How do you see yourself partnering with God in advancing His kingdom through the mission God has given you?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
– What do you need in order to gain confidence in sharing the Gospel through the mission God has given you?
– What steps can you take towards building confidence in the power of the Gospel and sharing it?
(Note to leaders: Remember to affirm and encourage every believer to be God’s instrument as we are all partners in God’s kingdom on earth)
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
– Pray for missionaries all over the world. Pray for spiritual, emotional, and physical protection; passionate heart and faithfulness; encouragement from God and His people; and to be able to adjust to different cultures and to communicate the Gospel effectively.
– Pray for our heart for God’s kingdom. To grab and initiate opportunities to share the Gospel to the people God has placed in the areas of our influence. To have hearts aligned to God and to equip ourselves with God’s word and His grace.
