Where to Learn Wisdom

God teaches us wisdom when our brokenness humbles us. This week, Ptr. Jared Co draws from Ecclesiastes 7 to show us that our limitations in three areas of life can help us gain wisdom if we reflect upon them with humility.

Life Group Discussion Guide

1. Start with a prayer

2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)

  • Choose 2 LG members to share a devotion they recently had.

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

  • What can we learn about wisdom from this passage?
  • What does the Teacher say about death? Why is he encouraging us to think about death?
  • Read vv.16-18. What do these verses say about being too righteous and too wicked? What do these mean?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

  • What does living wisely look like to you?
  • What does it mean for you to have Jesus as the Blueprint for wisdom?
  • How can looking at Jesus as the ultimate example of wisdom help you to live wisely?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)

  • What do you want to change in order to live wisely? What action steps can you take towards it?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)

  • Pray for each other’s needs and concerns. (10-15 minutes)
  • Pray for our country. (10-15 minutes)
    • The government aims to begin vaccinating economic frontliners and indigent Filipinos, A4 and A5 on the vaccine priority list, after the month of May.
    • Salvation for our government leaders and wise counsel for decisions to be made for the Filipino people.
