A Pilgrim’s Song | Draw Near to God
To be blessed is to be happy, to receive favor, to experience joy and satisfaction. This week, Ptr. Genesis Tan explains that Psalm 84 is widely considered as a Beatitude Psalm because it talks about the three blessings that are in store for those who worship the Lord.

Discussion Questions
Use these questions to guide your life group discussions or personal reflections.
1. What are your highs and lows of the week?
2. Read vv.1-4. Blessed are those who dwell in God’s presence. Reflect on vv.1-2, what is a deep longing in your heart? What is your reason for going to church? In what ways are the Garden of Eden and the Tabernacle similar? With these similarities, how can we explain true joy and satisfaction (refer to Matt.11:28-29)?
3. Read vv.5-7. Blessed are those who depend on God’s strength. What is the ‘valley of Baca’? What kind of “valley” are you going through right now (physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially, etc.)? Based on these verses, how can we depend on God’s strength? Reflect on Heb.10:24-25, as you travel through your “valley,” who is journeying with you? Accountability: Who can you reach out to seek help from? Who can you reach out to extend your help to?
4. Read vv.8-12. Blessed are those who trust in God’s goodness. What is your attitude towards the government? How can you pray for our gov’t officials? How did the psalmist profess his faith in v.10? Have you ever doubted God’s goodness? Please share. How can our life group help you overcome this?
