There are 7 billion people in the world who do not claim Christ as their Savior. Among them, 100 million are from our own country. This statistic highlights the immense opportunity for outreach and sharing the Gospel. On this Mission Sunday, Rev. John Ong urges us to lead missional lives by sharing Christ within our homes and communities, supporting missions, or serving as missionaries ourselves.

Life Group Discussion Guide
1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
- Share about a time when someone introduced you to Christ, invited you to church, or helped you grow spiritually. How did that impact your life?
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
- Read the passages. What is the heart of God for the world?
- What are the four challenges given to believers in responding to God’s heart for the world? How are these practically seen today?
4. Examine the heart (15-20 mins)
- When you think about people who still do not know Christ, what usually happens in your heart (burdened, indifferent, fearful, or compassionate)? Why? How would you honestly evaluate your love for God and love for people today?
- What priorities or comforts in your life keep you from being more involved in God’s mission? Where is this rooted?
5. Empower the hands (15-20 mins)
- How well are you displaying the character and priorities of Christ in your daily life (family, workplace/school, or community)? How can you intentionally display these in your daily interactions this week?
- What specific step can you take to grow in obedience to God’s call to “make disciples of all nations”?
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
- Praise the Heavenly Father for His great love and compassion for the whole world. Thank Him that His heart desires for all people to be saved and restored to Him through Jesus Christ. Rejoice that even while humanity was separated from Him because of sin, God made a way for reconciliation through Christ, our Mediator and Savior. Thank Him for the gift of eternal life—not only the promise of being with Him forever in heaven, but also the privilege of walking with Him daily here on earth. Praise Him that His mission continues today through ordinary believers empowered by His Spirit to make Christ known to all people.
- Repent for the times you have neglected God’s heart for the lost and become too focused on your own comfort, priorities, or fears. Ask for forgiveness for the moments you remained silent about the Gospel, failed to love people deeply, or lacked compassion for those who are far from God. Confess the times you have not reflected the character and priorities of Christ in your daily life. Pray that God would transform your heart to align with His heart for the nations, giving you greater love, boldness, obedience, and willingness to participate in His mission wherever He places you.
