建橋者或是築牆者 Bridge Builders or Wall Builders
門徒攔住一個正在趕鬼的人,因為他們內心感到被團體外的人超越是一種威脅。本週日,張國強牧師分享了耶穌如何斥責門徒的這種行為,教導他們要為福音築起橋樑,而不是築起圍牆。
The disciples stopped a man who was casting out demons because they viewed capable people outside their group as a threat. This Sunday, Rev. Jeremiah Cheung shares how Jesus rebuked this narrow-mindedness, teaching His disciples not to build walls that keep people out, but rather build bridges that lead people to God.

Life Group Discussion Guide
1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
• Share a time you felt excluded from a group or activity because you “didn’t belong.” How did it make you feel, and how did you respond?
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
• Read the passage. What did the disciples misunderstand about following Jesus when they tried to stop the man driving out demons in His name?
• Why do you think Jesus emphasized that “whoever is not against us is for us”? How does this correct the disciples’ attitude?
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
• In what ways have you acted like a “wall builder”—setting limits on who you think God can use or include?
• What attitudes or insecurities make it difficult for you to build bridges with others who are different from you?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
• This week, how can you intentionally build bridges with someone who is different from you—in church, at home, at school/work, or in your community?
• What practical steps can you take to support or encourage another believer who serves God in a different way than you do?
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
• Praise the Heavenly Father for calling you into His mission and allowing you to participate in building His Kingdom. Thank Him that His work is not limited to one group, method, or person but is carried out through the diverse members of His body. Rejoice that Jesus welcomes all who serve in His name and that His grace breaks down every wall that divides His people.
• Repent for the times you have built walls instead of bridges—when pride, insecurity, or exclusivity caused you to hinder others from serving God. Ask for forgiveness for having a narrow heart that limits how God can work through others. Pray that the Lord would give you humility, openness, and a spirit of cooperation to build bridges that draw people closer to Christ and to one another.
