1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
• Share a time someone went out of their way to help you when you needed it most. How did that experience impact you?
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
• Read the passage. Why do you think Jesus healed in different ways rather than using one consistent method?
• What does the crowd’s disobedience to Jesus’ command (not to tell anyone) reveal about their understanding of Him?
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
• In what area of your life are you struggling to trust God’s ways or timing? Do you truly believe that everything Jesus does is good, even when it doesn’t feel good?
• Do you feel unqualified or hesitant to share the Good News with someone? What encourages and hinders you from talking about Jesus? What does this reveal about your current relationship with Him?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
• What practical step can you take this week to align your actions more closely with the words you say about following Jesus?
• How can you be more intentional this week in sharing the Good News and talking about Jesus, even in ordinary places like work/school, with friends, or at home?
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
• Praise the Lord Jesus for His goodness that never changes and for His intentional pursuit of people—even those often overlooked. Thank Him for the different ways He brings healing into your life, whether through comfort, correction, provision, or miraculous work. Rejoice that His words and actions always reflect the perfect goodness of God, and that we can trust in Him completely even when His ways are beyond our understanding.
• Repent for the times you have doubted God’s goodness, especially when His methods didn’t make sense to you. Confess the moments you chose to disobey or remain silent because you didn’t trust Him enough or didn’t know Him deeply. Ask for forgiveness for limiting how God can work in and through you. Pray that you may grow in intimacy with Jesus so that your obedience flows not just from words, but from a heart that truly knows and trusts Him.
