經得起考驗的信心 A Faith That Can Withstand
耶穌被一位外邦母親的信心所感動,她不顧一切,突破種族限制,信靠一位猶太救主。本週日,張國強牧師提醒我們,真正蒙神喜悅的,是我們受考驗的信心,而不是我們的才華、能力或財富。
Jesus was moved by the faith of a Gentile mother who pushed through ethnic restrictions to place her trust in a Jewish Savior. This Sunday, Rev. Jeremiah Cheung reminds us that God is not interested in our talents, abilities, or wealth. Rather, it is the faith that can withstand testing that pleases Him.

Life Group Discussion Guide
1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
• Share a time you experienced rejection (whether from people or a closed door)? How did that shape your view of God or yourself?
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
• Read the passage. What does it reveal about Jesus’ intentionality—even when His words and actions seem hard or confusing?
• How do silence, rejection, and discrimination test faith? What do these tests look like in today’s society?
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
• How do you usually respond when God seems silent or distant? Do you withdraw or draw closer in prayer? Where does this response root from?
• When your faith is tested, do you tend to give up or keep pressing on? What does your response reveal about your trust in Jesus?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
• What’s one specific area of your life where your faith is currently being tested? How can you respond with perseverance?
• Who do you know that might feel like an outsider in faith or community? How can you be a reflection of God’s grace to them this week?
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
• Praise the Lord for His grace that welcomes the unworthy and strengthens the tested. Thank Him for His mercy that doesn’t waver even when He is silent. Give thanks that Jesus intentionally draws near to those who seem far off. Celebrate that God is not forgetful or cruel, but wise and loving, working all things for our growth and His glory. Rejoice that tested faith, like gold refined by fire, results in praise, glory, and honor to Jesus.
• Repent for the times you have doubted God’s love or given up when your faith was tested by silence, rejection, or hardship. Ask forgiveness for measuring God’s goodness by how quickly prayers are answered rather than by who He is. Confess if you’ve let bitterness, entitlement, or despair take the place of humble trust. Ask the Lord to refine your faith—to make it pure, persevering, and rooted in His Word. Surrender your ego, your doubts, and your pride, and ask to grow in the kind of faith that keeps calling Him “Lord” no matter what.
