The Man Who Can’t Be Moved
The resurrection not only alters the future of believers but also serves as inspiration and motivation to live the Christian life in the present. This week, Pastor Renz Raquion explains how the future grace of the resurrection enables believers to live with grace, strength, and hope for today and tomorrow.

Life Group Discussion Guide
1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
– What comes to mind when you think about the concept of victory? Share a time when you felt victorious over a difficult challenge.
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
– Read the passage. How does the resurrection make sense of the sacrifices we make as Christians?
– After a spectacular build-up, one would expect Paul to conclude chapter 15 by saying something like, “So let’s rejoice at the wonderful hope we can look forward to!” But he doesn’t. What does he do instead in verse 58 and why?
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
– Examine and share how you treat your body and the world around you. In what ways has the hope of the resurrection impacted how you live your life today?
– Do you feel a sense of responsibility to abound in the work of the Lord? What motivates you to serve God, and are there times you find yourself lacking in that motivation and discipline?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
– What practical steps can you take to ensure your life is rooted in the truth of the resurrection, allowing you to remain steadfast and immovable in your faith?
– What specific ways can you abound in the work of the Lord this week? How can you actively participate in Christ’s victory in your daily life, whether in your relationships, school/work, or ministry?
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
– Praise the Lord for the incredible gift of the resurrection, which allows us to inherit His glorious kingdom. Thank Him for the victory over death that we have through Christ’s death and resurrection. Rejoice that through His power, we are transformed from perishable to imperishable, and that our labor in the Lord is not in vain but has eternal significance.
– Repent for the times you have lived as though the resurrection were not your hope, allowing fear, doubt, or worldly concerns to dominate your heart. Ask for forgiveness for not giving yourself fully to the Lord’s work, often being swayed by distractions or not standing firm in the truth of His resurrection. Pray that you will be energized by the confidence that God will have the last say and the final victory over weakness and corruption. Pray that you will be “steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.
