When we live for ourselves and not for God, our efforts are all for naught. Let us not fool ourselves by going through the motions of merely acting like a Christian instead of truly being one.
It is all too easy to disobey the Lord and fail to appreciate His goodness when we only know of Him in our heads and do not worship Him in our hearts. Woe to the disobedient, for disaster follows.
