Do we truly know whom we worship? While we may regularly attend church, we might be missing out on the life-changing presence of Almighty God. This Sunday, Rev. Jeremiah Cheung urges us to lift our spiritual eyes and witness the true God who is worthy of our praise.

Life Group Discussion Guide
1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
- If someone asked you, “What does true worship look like?” how would you answer? Why?
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
- Read the psalm. What truths about God establish why He alone is worthy of our worship?
- What four characteristics describe the person who may approach and worship the Holy King?
4. Examine the heart (15-20 mins)
- When you worship God (whether privately or with others), what usually occupies your heart and mind? Is your focus primarily on God or on yourself? Where is this rooted?
- Which area of holiness do you most need God to work on right now: your actions (clean hands), motives (pure heart), devotion (devoted spirit), or words (truthful lips)? Why?
5. Empower the hands (15-20 mins)
- Do you truly live as though everything you have belongs to God, or do you tend to treat your possessions, abilities, or achievements as your own? What is one practical way you can acknowledge God’s ownership over everything you have this week?
- How can the truth that Jesus is the King of Glory influence the way you interact with your family, coworkers/classmates, friends, or neighbors this week?
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
- Praise the Heavenly Father because He alone is worthy of our worship. Thank Him for being our Creator, Sustainer, Holy King, and King of Glory. Express your gratitude that everything we have comes from Him, and that through Jesus we can confidently come into His presence with hope and joy. Pray that He may help us continually worship Him for who He is, not merely for what He can give.
- Pray for forgiveness for the times you have allowed other things to compete for God’s rightful place in your heart. Confess where your actions, motives, devotion, or words have fallen short of His holiness. Ask Him to cleanse your hands, purify your heart, strengthen your devotion to Him alone, and make your speech truthful, so that your life may become a sincere act of worship before the King of Glory.
