Bread Talk
Jesus’ compassion for the crowd moved Him to perform the well-known miracle of feeding the five thousand. This Sunday, Ptr. Renz Raquion encourages us to trust in Jesus for our daily provisions, as He understands our needs and can meet them through His amazing grace, just as He did for the crowd that day.

Life Group Discussion Guide
1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
– Share a time you experienced an unexpected or memorable moment wherein someone provided for you during a time of need.
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
– Read the passage. What does this miracle reveal about Jesus’ compassion and His role as the Good Shepherd?
– Why is it important that Jesus used the disciples to distribute the bread rather than doing everything Himself?
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
– What “desolate place” or wilderness situation are you currently facing? How has this need revealed your own limitations and dependence on God?
– When you think about your job, savings, family support, or other resources, do you see them as the result of your own efforts or as channels of God’s provision? How might recognizing God’s hand in “ordinary” provision change your daily perspective?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
– What “loaves and fish” (resources, time, skill) can you offer this week for God to use in someone else’s life?
– How can you be more attentive and responsive to others’ needs this week, like the disciples distributing food?
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
– Praise the Heavenly Father for His compassion and abundant provision that never fails. Thank Him that even before you recognized your needs, He already saw them and made a way. Rejoice that He provides not just enough, but satisfying fullness—for every part of your life.
– Repent for the times you relied on your own resources, strength, or plans, thinking they were enough without recognizing God’s hand behind them. Ask for forgiveness for treating God’s daily provision as ordinary or insufficient. Pray for a heart that depends on Him in every situation—especially in seasons of lack and wilderness.
