Today is the Church’s 25th anniversary; if we ask the head of the Church, “Lord, what would you like?” I think the Lord will say: “Be my true disciples. That would be the best gift you can give me.” In the Great Commission, the Lord commanded, “Go and make disciples of all nations.” The command `make disciples’ is the only verb in the Great Commission; `baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you’ are participles. So, we see that the greatest desire of the Lord is that we be his disciples. But who are true disciples of the Lord?

Twelve fishermen who had no education or exceptional status were able to spread the gospel throughout the world. This is not man’s doing, but God’s. We really have to admire the Lord Jesus’ foresight and strategy. He left us a wonderful example of how to choose and train our coworkers.

Matthew 8:1-4 tells of Jesus healing a man with leprosy. Let us study how Jesus went about healing this man. In the process, we shall see the four beautiful examples that the Lord Jesus has left for us to follow.
