Where is the Love?
We may have many extraordinary spiritual gifts, but without love, they are meaningless. This week, Pastor Renz Raquion reminds us that our eloquence, faith, and deeds only matter when we do things with love.

Life Group Discussion Guide
1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
– Define love and what it looks like. What influenced this definition? In what aspects is it aligned and not aligned with the Bible’s definition?
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
– Read the passage. What is the main point of vv.1-3? How does it apply to the church at Corinth?
– What is the relationship between love and spiritual gifts?
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
– How do you view your own sinfulness and the overwhelming love and acceptance you have in Jesus Christ? How does this recognition affect your relationships with others?
– In what ways might you have placed more value on spiritual gifts, knowledge, or faith rather than on cultivating love in your heart?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
– What specific steps can you take to evaluate and realign your behavior, ensuring that when you act, you love?
– How can you better integrate the understanding of Christ’s love for us into your behavior and actions within your Christian community?
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
– Praise God for the gift of love that surpasses all understanding. Thank Him for showing us the most excellent way through His perfect love, which gives true value to our lives and spiritual gifts. Express your gratitude for His unfailing love that never ceases to work through us, transforming our hearts and our actions for His glory.
– Acknowledge the times you have used your spiritual gifts without love, seeking recognition or validation rather than serving others with a pure heart. Ask for forgiveness for the moments when your actions were motivated by self-interest instead of His love. Ask God to help you submit and realign your heart, that all you do may be rooted in love and reflect His grace and truth.
