Using Our Gifts
God, through His grace, gave us different gifts to serve the church. However, we tend to take these gifts for granted or abuse them. This week, Ptr. Jared Co urges us to use our God-given gifts in serving each other.

Life Group Discussion Guide
1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
– Spend the first few minutes to share each other’s spiritual gift. (Note to leaders: You may ask your members to answer https://giftstest.com/test before meeting.)
– Additional resource to know more about spiritual gifts https://www.tyndale.com/sites/unfoldingfaithblog/2018/11/13/your-spiritual-gifts-how-to-identify-and-effectively-use-them/
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
• Read the passage. What does it mean to think of ourselves with sober judgment? Share examples.
• What is the motivation for using spiritual gifts?
• What happens when we all use our gifts? What happens when we compare and envy others’ gifts?
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
• Reflect: What instances make you think too highly of yourself? What instances make you think too lowly of yourself?
• Imagine everyone using our gifts. What does that look like?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
• Think and share some ways you can use your spiritual gift/s (do not limit to the four walls of the church). Which of the ways can you start doing? (Note to leaders: Affirm and encourage)
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
• Thank the Lord for blessing us with gifts that we can use to contribute to the Body of Christ.
• Pray to have an unbiased and fair judgment of ourselves in line with how God sees us through Christ; to not see ourselves too highly nor too lowly.
• Pray for passion and humility to participate in God’s kingdom by using our unique gifts to build and serve one another. Pray for unity in the midst of diversity.
