The Christian life is like living in exile as Christians are foreigners in a world of different values and beliefs. This week, Ptr. Jared Co starts a new series from the book of Daniel and urges us to be faithful vessels of God while in exile.

1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
- Share a time when you were in a situation you did not like.
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
- Read the passage. Describe Daniel’s situation.
- What does it mean to be in exile?
- How did Daniel pursue faithfulness and holiness?
- What did you learn about God from this passage?
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
- Like Daniel, we are also exiles as we are still living on earth. What challenges are you facing being in exile?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
- As you face these challenges, what attitude of Daniel can you apply? How will you do it?
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
- Thank God that despite being in exile, we have the hope of a future with Him through Christ. Thank God because He has a purpose and a plan, and He is sovereign.
- Ask God for forgiveness for the times when we rely on ourselves and when we pursue other gods in our heart.
- Pray for a heart that pursues faithfulness and holiness.
