God Is (2) – God is Faithful
By Rev. Jeremiah Cheung
As we get to know a person more, one of two completely different situations may happen:
(1) Our trust in the person will increase; or
(2) Our faith in the person will decrease.
This is what is meant by the Chinese proverb that says “Distance tests a horse’s stamina; time reveals a man’s heart.”
The more we know God, the more our faith in Him will increase, because God is perfect. He is perfectly good, perfectly holy, perfectly just, perfectly merciful, and perfectly almighty.
If we don’t trust such a great God, who else will we trust?
Today, we want to reflect on God’s faithfulness.
1. The Meaning of Faithfulness
2. God is Faithful
3. Trust in God’s Faithfulness
a. Trusting in God is an Investment in Time
b. Trusting in God entails an Intellectual Understanding
c. Trusting in God means Obedience to His Word
