1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
• Share a time you received good news and it completely changed your mood or outlook on a situation. Why did it have that effect? How does your reaction to that good news compare to when you first heard/understood the Gospel?
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
• Read the passage. What is the central point of the Gospel? What is left of the Gospel without Christ’s resurrection?
• List other passages about Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. Why are these events important?
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
• Examine yourself: Are there areas in your heart where, like James or Paul, you are struggling with doubt or hostility toward God’s work? Where do you think this roots from?
• How does the grace of Christ’s resurrection motivate you to live a life that reflects gratitude and transformation, as it did for Paul?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
• What specific steps can you take this week to share the core message of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection with someone who does not yet know or believe in the hope of eternal life? Identify that person and make a plan to engage them in a spiritual conversation.
• How can you live courageously and testify to the power of the risen Christ in your daily interactions this week?
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
• Praise the Lord for the victory over sin and death that was accomplished through Jesus’ resurrection. Thank Him for the hope of eternal life and the new creation we have become through His grace. Rejoice that we are no longer bound by sin, and Satan no longer has power over us because Jesus has risen, just as He said He would. Celebrate that this Gospel truth is not just a story but a living reality, witnessed by many and testified through the power of the Holy Spirit.
• Repent for the times when you have doubted the power of Jesus’ resurrection in your life, relying on your own strength instead of His grace. Ask for forgiveness for the moments when you have not lived as a new creation, holding on to old sins and allowing them to dictate your actions. Pray for the strength to fully embrace the power of Christ’s resurrection, trusting that His victory is complete, and that through Him, you are made new.
