2. Who is central or who is the main character in Psalm 23 – God or man? How are the two different?

3. Read vv.2-3. When the Lord is my Shepherd, He will provide for all my needs. Has there been a time when you struggled with this? Please share. Deut.29:5. When do you find it hardest to trust that God will provide?

4. Read v.4. When the Lord is my Shepherd, He will walk with me through times of discipline. Read Isa.53:6, Isa.10:5, and Heb.12:6. Why does God discipline us? How have you experienced this Truth? What do people think or say about this topic? Do you agree or disagree? In what ways?

5. Read v.5. When the Lord is my Shepherd, He will bless me through my enemies. Have you ever thought of your enemies as blessings? If yes, how? If no, why? What do ‘You prepare a table before me’ and ‘in the presence of my enemies’ mean? What were the lessons Joseph learned through his enemies? In what ways did his life resonate with you? How have you experienced this Truth? Reflect: Am I in the place of God?

6. Read v.6. When the Lord is my Shepherd, He will let goodness and love follow you. Read Matt.28:20 and Gen.48:15. What’s it like for you to be assured that God’s goodness and love will follow you? What do you think about ‘dwelling in the house of the Lord forever’? How have you experienced this Truth?
