安息日之戰 (二) 醫治枯手 Sabbath Day Battle (2) : Healing a Shriveled Hand

我們會變得如此麻木不仁,以至於將嚴格的規則置於他人的需求之上嗎?本週,張國強牧師用耶穌醫治枯乾手的故事來提醒我們不要硬著心,錯過神對彼此的恩典和愛。

Could we become so unfeeling that we place strict rules above the needs of others? This week, Rev. Jeremiah Cheung highlights how Jesus healed a withered hand and urges us not to harden our hearts to the point we miss out on God’s grace and love for one another.

1. Start with a prayer

2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
• Think of a time when you refused to admit you were wrong, even when the truth was clear. What helped (or would have helped) you soften your heart?

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
• Read the passage. What are the consequences of a hardened heart?
• Why did the Pharisees see Jesus as a threat, and how did their stubborn hearts influence their actions?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
• In what areas of your life do you struggle with having a stubborn heart? How does this affect your relationship with God and others?
• When confronted with the truth, do you tend to accept it with humility or resist it? What makes it difficult to have a teachable heart?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
• What practical steps can you take to cultivate a more humble and teachable heart in your daily walk with God?
• How can you contribute to making your church or ministry a place of worship, love, and discipleship rather than a battlefield?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
• Praise the Heavenly Father for being a God of truth, love, and healing. Thank Him for sending Jesus to reveal His heart—to restore what is broken and to bring life instead of legalism. Express gratitude for the freedom to worship Him and for the calling to love and serve one another in humility. Rejoice in the truth that His Word transforms our hearts and leads us to life.
• Repent for the times you have hardened your heart—resisting the truth, pointing fingers at others instead of examining yourself, and prioritizing rules or traditions over love and mercy. Ask for forgiveness for any pride, stubbornness, or unwillingness to be corrected. Pray that God may soften your heart, make you teachable, and help you reflect His grace and righteousness in your relationships and church community.
