耶穌,你到底是誰? Who Are You, Jesus?

The book of Mark opens like a newspaper headline, proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. This week, Rev. Jeremiah Cheung explores how this single verse (Mark 1:1) emphasizes the unique identities of our Messiah, offering us a fresh perspective on who Jesus truly is.

• What does the title “Christ” reveal about Jesus’ mission as God’s Anointed One?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
• Evaluate yourself: Does knowing Jesus defeated death and set you free from its fear impact the way you live? Why or why not?
• In what areas of your life do you need to trust Jesus as both the Anointed One and the Resurrected Son of God?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
• What steps can you take to overcome fear and live in the freedom Jesus has given you?
• Who can you share the Good News of Jesus Christ with this year, emphasizing His identity and mission?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
• Praise the Heavenly Father for sending His Son Jesus Christ, the Beginning of Good News, who brings peace to our hearts and reconciles us to Him. Express your gratitude to the Anointed One, who bears our sins, defeats death, and sets us free from fear. Rejoice in the resurrection of the Son of God, whose victory gives us eternal hope and transforms our lives into new creations.
• Repent for the times you have doubted the sufficiency of the Good News and allowed fear or sin to enslave you. Ask for forgiveness for failing to live in the freedom and peace He has given through Christ. Pray that you may trust fully in Jesus as the Anointed One and the resurrected Son of God, that you may live as slaves to righteousness and bring glory to His Name.
