“前無去路後有追兵”的困境 A “No Way Out” Situation
當以色列人被困在紅海和法老軍隊之間時,他們是如何被救出來?張國強牧師用出埃及記教我們當我們在一個無路可走的情況時,上帝如何拯救我們。
How were the Israelites delivered when they were trapped between the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s army? Through the book of Exodus, Rev. Jeremiah Cheung shows how God comes to our rescue even when there seems to be no way out.

Life Group Discussion Guide
1. Start with a prayer
2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)
• Share a recent instance wherein you experienced God’s grace in your life. How did acknowledging that it was God’s grace impact you at the time?
3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)
• Read the passage. How did God protect and provide for the Israelites during their escape? What does this reveal about His grace?
• Skim through Exodus 7-14 and note your observations on this “mission impossible” as God commanded Moses and Aaron to go to the Pharaoh repeatedly, even though He knew he wouldn’t let the Israelites go (7:1-7). How does this help you understand God’s sovereignty and purpose in light of human’s free will?
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)
• Examine yourself: When faced with your own no-way-out situations, do you tend to trust God’s purpose, or do you find yourself doubting His goodness? Where does this trust or doubt root from?
• Identify times in your life wherein you were more focused on God’s deeds (what He does for you) than on His character (who He is). What can help you shift your focus?
5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)
• What specific steps can you take to seek and follow God’s will as well as discern any sin to repent of when facing a difficult situation?
• What can you do this week to start practicing counting God’s grace daily, especially when times are tough?
6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)
• Praise our Almighty God, who leads us even through no-way-out situations, showing us that His purpose and plan are always greater than our fears. Thank Him for His unfailing grace and protection, guiding us through hardships, and revealing His glory through every trial. Rejoice in His power that sustains us, and express your gratitude that He is trustworthy even in the darkest moments.
• Repent for the times when you have allowed fear, doubt, and complaints to overtake your faith, failing to see God’s hand at work in your life. Ask for forgiveness for focusing on your circumstances instead of standing firm in who He is. Pray that you may trust His ways and count His grace each day, knowing that He is with us always, even when the path seems impossible.
