Together, we have raised a total PhP 1,848,388.22 from March 27 to May 31, 2020.

With the blessings/resources you have shared, we were able to provide:

• PhP 1,271,337.00 worth of personal protective equipment (PPE) to frontliners in urban and provincial hospitals, healthcare centers, and some local government units
• Php 396,700.00 which were distributed in the form of goods and commodities to the following communities: Barangay South Triangle, Tondo Slum Community, Payatas, and Baseco,
• PhP 115,628.25 given as aid to the families of our Discipleship Center’s agency workers

The remaining funds amounting to PhP 64,722.97 will be reserved as Emergency Fund for needs that may arise in the coming months as the COVID-19 situation unfolds.

Once again, thank you for your partnership in the ministry of caring for the communities that the Lord has entrusted to us during this challenging time for our nation. May the Lord strengthen your faith as you continue to be salt and light for His Kingdom.

1. How is CBCP responding to the situation?

All gatherings and ministry activities are suspended until further notice. We will use online alternatives for our three key ministries: Worship Services, Life Groups, and Journey Groups.

2. How will we do online worship on Sundays?

We will publish our Sunday Messages on the church website at cbcp.org/messages. The videos for each week will be viewable on Sundays starting at 8:00 AM.

3. Are the online services being live streamed?

No, our messages will be pre-recorded earlier in the week and published online on Sunday mornings so we can continue to worship at the same time from our own homes.

4. Will our church building be open to visitors?

Both the Discipleship Center and our Talayan Facility are closed until further notice. Access is restricted to essential personnel only. We will update this guidance as the situation evolves.

6. How can we give our offerings and tithes to the church?

Offerings, tithes, or donations can be deposited to the church’s bank accounts.

6. How can we contact the church?

The church staff will be responding to inquiries received through our Contact Form during normal office hours. We ask for your understanding as we deal with a larger than usual number of inquiries.

7. What can I do at this time to help?

Please join us in prayer. Pray for our country: our government officials, the medical personnel on the frontlines, the people who have fallen ill and their families.

Stay at home as much as possible. Practice social distancing and take preventive measures as an act of love for the people around you.

New Guidelines

The following guidelines are in effect until further notice.

• Weddings. The church has published COVID-specific wedding guidelines for couples who wish to exchange their wedding vows at CBCP.
• Child Dedication. All child dedication ceremonies are now held online. To book some time for a dedication event with the office, please fill-up the online child dedication form.

In light of the government’s guidance as announced earlier this evening by President Rodrigo Duterte, the church is suspending all activities until further notice.

In addition to previously announced suspensions of activities, the following changes are now in effect.

Sunday Messages will be available online

Sunday Worship services are paused indefinitely. We will continue to upload our Messages to our website. You will always find the latest message at https://cbcp.org/messages.

Worship Team rehearsals are suspended until further notice.

Both our Talayan Facility and Discipleship Center will be closed

Effective immediately and until further notice, the church’s two sites – the Talayan Village facility and the Discipleship Center – will be closed. Access will be restricted to essential personnel only.

In-Person Meetings are Suspended

In-person meetings for Life Groups and Journey Groups are now suspended. We strongly encourage group leaders to adopt online alternatives, such as:

• Zoom – Free video chat up to 100 participants, max of 40 min/meeting.
• Facetime – Group Facetime for up to 32 people.
• Hangouts – Group video chat for up to 10 people.
• Chat meetings via your preferred apps (Viber, Telegram, Facebook Messenger).

Christian Bible Church of the Philippines joins our community in prioritizing the health and safety of every individual. As the number of confirmed cases in the country and our city is still rising, the CBCP Covid Task Force has decided to take on the following measures (subject to change based on rulings/resolutions from local government officials).

A Message from the Senior Pastor

Dear CBCP Family,

Thank you for staying calm and alert as our city responds to the latest news about COVID-19. Visit https://cbcp.org/covid19 regularly for the latest announcements from the Church’s task force that is monitoring and assessing the situation.

The church is acting out of an abundance of caution because we want to do our part to help avoid the sustained transmission of the virus. We are not aware of any church member having been infected, but we don’t want to wait for a confirmed case before we take precautions.

As we have been learning from our ongoing message series, moments where we face trials and crises are moments that draw us near to God. Let us faithfully pray for our fellow members, our country, and the world.
