3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

  • Read the passage. Having a new identity in Christ, what are the things that we should not be doing? Why should we avoid/stop doing these?
  • What are the things that we must do?
  • What does it mean for you that you are made holy through Christ and you are now light in the Lord? Why is it important to walk as children of light?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

  • Reflect and share: From the things Paul mentioned, in what way do you find it hard to imitate the Lord? How can our group help you in this area?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)

  • Our being is manifested in our doing. What action steps can you take to improve your relationship with the Lord?

  • Thank God for making us holy through Christ, for His grace, and for being patient with us.
  • Ask God for forgiveness during the times that we have failed to please Him and have chosen to continue walking in darkness.
  • Ask God to help us to align our hearts to Him, to renew our minds with things that please Him, to turn away from filthy things and to turn to Him.

  • Sa pagpapatuloy mula sa ‘Engage the Hands’ noong nakaraang linggo, ano ang iyong ginawa upang gayahin ang Diyos sa iyong pamumuhay? Paano mo ito sinimulan?

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

  • Basahin ang talata. Bilang isang bagong tao kay Kristo, anong mga gawain ang hindi na dapat natin ginagawa? Bakit dapat natin ihinto ang mga gawaing ito?
  • Sa halip, ano ang mga bagay na dapat nating gawin?
  • Ano ang ibig sabihin na ikaw ay ginawang banal sa pamamagitan ni Kristo at ikaw ay nasa liwanag sa Panginoon? Ano ang kahalagahan na mamuhay bilang anak ng liwanag?

  • Pagnilayan at ibahagi: Mula sa mga bagay na binanggit ni Paul (Pablo), saang parte ka nahihirapan na gayahin o tularan ang Diyos? Sa anong paraan ka matutulungan ng ating grupo?

  • Ang ating mga ginagawa ay nag-uugat sa ating relasyon kay Kristo. Ano ang maaari mong gawin upang mas lumago ang iyong relasyon kay Kristo?

6. Maglaan ng oras para sa pagdadasal (20-30 mins)

  • Magpasalamat sa Diyos dahil ginawa Niya tayong banal sa pamamagitan ni Kristo buhat ng Kanyang biyaya, grasya, at habag.
  • Humingi ng tawad sa mga panahong gumagawa tayo ng mga bagay na hindi kanais-nais sa Kanya.
  • Hilingin sa Diyos na tulungan tayo na iayon ang ating mga puso sa Kanya, na talikuran ang mga maruruming intensyon, na punuin ang ating isipan ng mga bagay na nakalulugod sa Kanya, at isalig ang sarili sa Kanya.

3. Engage the minds (15-20 mins)

  • Read the passage. Having a new identity in Christ, what are the five ways that Paul encourages believers to live? Why is it important to live this way?
  • In 5:1-2, what does it mean for you to follow God’s example?
  • What can we learn about God and about ourselves through this passage?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

  • Reflect and share: When was the last time I struggled in one of these five areas? What help do I need to overcome this?

  • What specific action can you do this week to imitate Christ? How will you do it?
