As we conclude the Book of Daniel, God reveals that wickedness will increase towards the “end of days” but God’s Kingdom will ultimately prevail! This week, Ptr. Michael Cariño encourages us that there is protection, salvation, and purpose for those who believe and remain steadfast to God.

  • Hilingin ang pagpupuspos ng Espiritu para tularan ang katapatan, kahusayan, katapangan, at kahandaan ng puso ni Daniel na maging instrumento ng Diyos.

但以理書第九章有一個七十個七的異象, 這個異象就是建立在神的慈愛與誠實上, 沒有神的慈愛與誠實, 這個異象是不可能應驗。但以理書第九章可以分為二個部份, V1-19但以理的禱告; V20-27七十個七的異象。這二者有什麼關係呢? 這個七個七的異象是但以理禱告帶來的結果, 但以理是一個禱告的人, 他禱告後神就馬上發出命令, 叫天使長加百利將七十個七的異象告訴但以理。

從文學的體裁上來看, 1-6章是叙事文學, 7-12章是天啟文學。天啟Apocalyptic這個字意思: 藉著啟示將來必要發生的事顯明出來。從第7-12章到都是天啟文學, 但以理將將來要發生的事都寫出來, 這讓我們再一次看見, 神是掌管歷史的神, 祂不單知道過去所發生的事, 現在正在發生的事, 祂連將來要發生的事都在祂的主權下。基督徒, 如果我們真的相信, 過在, 現在與將來都在神掌管中, 我們不應該為明天憂慮, 因為明天早已經在祂的手中。我們不要忘記, 我們的神是昔在, 今在, 以後永在的神。

1. Magdasal bilang panimula.

2. Engage with one another (15-30 mins)

  • Ano ang iyong saloobin/pakiramdam tungkol sa mga nangyayari sa ating bansa/mundo sa kasalukuyan? (Note to leaders: Pagtuonan ng pansin ang ibinahaging damdamin kaysa sa mga pananaw sa pulitika. Paalalahanan ang grupo na maaaring magkaroon ng magkakaibang pananaw sa pulitika at hindi natin kailangang magkasundo sa mga paninindigan.)

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

  • Ilarawan ang dalawang pangitain sa panaginip ni Daniel.
  • Ano ang kahalagahan ng mga pangitaing ito sa atin ngayon?
  • Ano ang natutunan mo tungkol sa Diyos at sa Kanyang kaharian?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

  • Para sayo, ano ang kahalagahan na ang Diyos at ang kanyang kaharian ay mananatili magpakailanman, at ikaw ay Kanyang iniimbitahan na makasama magpakailanman? (Note to leaders: Kung may miyembrong hindi pa tinatanggap si Hesus sa kanyang buhay, ito ay oportunidad na ibahagi ang Magandang Balita—ang gulo, gera, paghihirap na pinagdaraanan natin ngayon ay may katapusan. Ang ating pag-asa ay nakay Hesus at sa Kanyang walang-hanggang kaharian.)

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)

  • Bilang ang kaharian ng Diyos ay magpakailanman, ano ang maaari mong baguhin sa iyong pamumuhay simula ngayon?

6. Maglaan ng oras para sa pagdadasal (20-30 mins)

  • Magpasalamat sa Diyos dahil Siya ang ating pag-asa at kalakasan sa gitna ng gulo sa mundo at mga hirap na ating pinagdaraanan sa araw-araw.
  • Ipagdasal ang mga tao at mga bansang dumaranas ng kaguluhan, na mahanap nila ang kanlungan at kapayapaan kay Kristo.
  • Ipagdasal na magkaroon ng oportunidad na maibahagi ang Magandang Balita lalo na sa mga taong nangangailangan ng pag-asa na matatagpuan lamang kay Kristo.

  • Share a time when you felt afraid.

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

  • Read the passage. Describe Daniel’s response to the situation he faced.
  • What about Daniel that you want to imitate?
  • In what way is Daniel a foreshadow of Christ?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

  • Identify a “lion’s den” in your life right now where your faith is being stretched. What is it like for you?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)

  • Knowing God is with you in the “lion’s den”, what specific actions can you do differently as you go through the situation?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)

  • Thank God for being with us through situations when faith is being stretched; and for Jesus who went through the “lion’s den” of death for us to bring us back to God.
  • Ask God for strength when we struggle in our faith and His enabling for us to stand firm especially when we face opposition as we follow Christ.
  • Pray for each other’s concerns.
