1. Start with a prayer

2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)

  • Share a recent time when you were blessed by someone (may be through words of encouragement or action).

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

  • In vv.12-13, God turned the curse into a blessing. What are the blessings?
  • Read vv.14-17. What is God’s desire for His people? What are the things He hates?
  • Read v.23. What does God say will attract other people to join the Jews?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

  • As God blesses us, He desires for us to speak truthfully, to be just, and to make peace (v.16). What are our common struggles in doing these? What can motivate and encourage you to do these?
  • What are the “ruins” in our lives? (These may be our failures, weaknesses, lack of faith, sins, etc. Ultimately, this is about our separation from God.)
  • In what way can our life turn from ruin to glory through Christ?
  • How can you be a blessing to the people around you? What is the right motivation to be a blessing to others?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)

  • What action steps can you take this week to bless others (your circle of influence)?

6. Engage God in prayer (20-30 mins)

1. Magdasal bilang panimula.

2. Engage with one another (15-30 mins)

  • Magbahagi ng isang sitwasyon kung saan pinagpala ka ng isang tao (maaaring sa pamamagitan ng mga salita o gawa).

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

  • Sa vv.12-14, ginawang pagpapala ng Diyos ang mga sumpa. Ano ang mga pagpapalang ito?
  • Basahin ang vv.14-17. Ano ang hangarin ng Diyos para sa Kanyang mga tagasunod? Ano ang mga bagay na Kanyang kinapopootan?
  • Basahin ang v.23. Ano ang sinabi ng Diyos na aakit sa mga dayuhan upang sila ay sumama sa mga Hudyo?

  • Habang tayo ay pinagpapala sa atin ng Diyos, nais Niya na tayo ay maging matapat o makatotohanan sa ating salita, maging makatarungan, at maging tagapagpanatili ng kapayapaan (v.16). Ano ang ating mga karaniwang hadlang sa pagsasatupad ng mga ito? Ano ang maaaring humikayat sa iyo upang gawin ang mga ito?
  • Anong aspekto ng iyong buhay ang itinuturing mo na wasak or nasisira? Ibahagi ito. (Maaaring ito ay pagkabigo, kahinaan, kawalan ng pananampalataya, kasalanan, atbp. Ito ay mga bagay na naghihiwalay sa atin mula sa Diyos.)
  • Sa anong paraan maaaring mabago ang ating buhay mula sa pagkawasak tungo sa kaluwalhatian sa pamamagitan ni Jesus?
  • Paano ka magiging isang pagpapala sa mga tao sa paligid mo? Ano ang tamang motibasyon na maging isang pagpapala sa iba?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)

  • Anong mga hakbang ang maaari mong gawin ngayong linggo upang pagpalain ang iba (maaaring iyong pamilya, kaibigan, katrabaho, atbp.)?

6. Maglaan ng oras para sa pagdadasal (20-30 mins)

  • Ipagdasal ang mga pangangailangan at mga alalahanin ng bawat isa. (10-15 minutes)
  • Ipagdasal ang ating bansa. (10-15 minutes)
    • 4 na milyong Pilipino ang walang trabaho.
    • Dumarami ang mga tao na dumaranas ng matinding gutom at kahirapan.

Bakit parang hindi naririnig ng Diyos ang ating mga panalangin? Sa mensaheng ito, hinihikayat tayo ni Ptr. Allan Rillera na mamuhay ng banal at sumunod sa kalooban ng Diyos na nakitingin sa buhay ng taong nasa likod ng bawat panalangin.

  • Ano ang iyong naalala o natutunan mula sa mensahe?

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

  • Basahin ang talata. Ano ang mensahe na ipinahayag ng Diyos sa pamamagitan ni Zechariah?
  • Ano ang kaugnayan ng talatang ito sa naunang mga berso (Zech. 7:1-7)?
  • Ano ang saloobin ng mga ninuno ng mga Israelita sa pagsamba sa Diyos? Ano ang hangarin ng Diyos para sa atin?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

  • Ano ang pananaw ng Diyos tungo sa doble-kara o mapagkunwaring uri ng pamumuhay? Paano natin matatalikuran ang ganitong uri ng pamumuhay?
  • Pagnilay-nilayan ang v.12. Sa anong mga paraan nagiging matigas ang ating puso?
  • Ano ang ilang karaniwang hamon o hadlang sa pakikinig at pagsunod sa salita ng Diyos?
  • Basahin ang v.13. Ano ang kahulugan para sa iyo ng talatang ito?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)

  • Ano ang maaari mong gawin sa darating na linggo tungo sa pagsunod sa salita ng Diyos?

6. Maglaan ng oras para sa pagdadasal (20-30 mins)

  • Ipagdasal ang mga pangangailangan at mga alalahanin ng bawat isa. (10-15 minutes)
  • Ipagdasal ang ating bansa. (10-15 minutes)
    • Dumaraming kaso ng COVID-19 sa Pilipinas.
    • Mabilis na pagroll-out ng bakuna laban sa COVID-19; at na walang katiwalian at pamumulitika ang maganap sa gitna ng proseso.

當我們禁食的時候，我們的態度與動機都必須正確，禁食不是宗教儀式，禁食是屬靈的操練，使我們與神有更密切的關係。

Our attitudes and motives must be aligned with God’s purpose as we fast and pray. We should approach fasting not as a religious ritual but rather as a spiritual exercise that helps us grow deeper in our relationship with God.

1. Start with a prayer

2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)

  • Describe your worship the past week.
  • What traditions or rituals have been passed on to you by your parents?

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

  • Read the passage. What is God’s message through Zechariah in this passage?
  • What is the concern of the people of Bethel? Why were they fasting for 70 years?
  • How did God answer? What do we learn about God through this passage?
  • Read v.7. What does this verse show about the Israelites’ attitude towards God?
  • What is the correct motivation for doing the rituals (e.g. fasting)?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

  • What are some present day rituals that we do in worshipping and serving God?
  • Self reflection: What is our motivation of doing the rituals (e.g. Bible reading, fasting, going to church, serving, Sabbaths)?
  • What are our tendencies to lose our focus on Jesus?
  • God looks at the heart of the worshipper more than the rituals we do. What is your response to this Truth? (Turn this into prayer at the end of the session)

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)

  • What can you do this coming week to help you have the right motive and attitude in worshipping the Lord?

6. Engage God in prayer (20-30 mins)

  • Pray for each other’s needs and concerns. (10-15 minutes)
  • Pray for our country. (10-15 minutes)
    • Creative and innovative approaches to education in this new normal.
    • Repatriation of OFWs coming home from different countries and government efforts to bring home those who have been stranded in Manila and other cities to return to their hometowns.
