  • Share about a time when someone introduced you to Christ, invited you to church, or helped you grow spiritually. How did that impact your life?

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

  • Read the passages. What is the heart of God for the world?
  • What are the four challenges given to believers in responding to God’s heart for the world? How are these practically seen today?

4. Examine the heart (15-20 mins)

  • When you think about people who still do not know Christ, what usually happens in your heart (burdened, indifferent, fearful, or compassionate)? Why? How would you honestly evaluate your love for God and love for people today?
  • What priorities or comforts in your life keep you from being more involved in God’s mission? Where is this rooted?

5. Empower the hands (15-20 mins)

  • How well are you displaying the character and priorities of Christ in your daily life (family, workplace/school, or community)? How can you intentionally display these in your daily interactions this week?
  • What specific step can you take to grow in obedience to God’s call to “make disciples of all nations”?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)

  • Praise the Heavenly Father for His great love and compassion for the whole world. Thank Him that His heart desires for all people to be saved and restored to Him through Jesus Christ. Rejoice that even while humanity was separated from Him because of sin, God made a way for reconciliation through Christ, our Mediator and Savior. Thank Him for the gift of eternal life—not only the promise of being with Him forever in heaven, but also the privilege of walking with Him daily here on earth. Praise Him that His mission continues today through ordinary believers empowered by His Spirit to make Christ known to all people.
  • Repent for the times you have neglected God’s heart for the lost and become too focused on your own comfort, priorities, or fears. Ask for forgiveness for the moments you remained silent about the Gospel, failed to love people deeply, or lacked compassion for those who are far from God. Confess the times you have not reflected the character and priorities of Christ in your daily life. Pray that God would transform your heart to align with His heart for the nations, giving you greater love, boldness, obedience, and willingness to participate in His mission wherever He places you.

  • Praise the Heavenly Father because Jesus Christ has truly risen from the dead and defeated sin and death once and for all. Thank Him that even when we are filled with fear, anxiety, and doubt, He remains faithful and continues to pursue us with grace. Thank Him that, like Peter and the disciples, He does not forsake us in our failures but lovingly calls us back to Himself for a fresh start. Rejoice that the risen Christ is alive, present, and actively working in our lives even before we see the solution to our problems.
  • Repent for the times you have responded with fear, silence, or unbelief instead of trusting and obeying the risen Lord. Ask for forgiveness for the moments you have kept the gospel to yourself, hesitated to speak about Jesus, or allowed anxiety and shame to stop you from following Him boldly. Pray that the Lord would transform your fearful heart into a courageous and faithful witness who joyfully proclaims that Jesus is alive and worthy to be followed.

Thank Him that even in the midst of man’s wickedness, His goodness and perfect plan prevailed. Rejoice that through Jesus’ broken body and sacrifice, the curtain was torn and we now have direct access to His presence. Give thanks that Christ remained faithful to accomplish our salvation and offer us new life.
  • Repent for the times you have denied, avoided, or stayed silent about Jesus out of fear, shame, or comfort. Ask for forgiveness for taking lightly the suffering and separation Christ endured because of your sin. Confess the ways you have clung to your old life instead of fully embracing the new life He offers. Pray for the courage to stand for Christ, to follow Him wholeheartedly, and to live boldly as His disciple.

  • Praise the Heavenly Father for accomplishing the greatest salvation through what seemed like the most unjust trial. Thank Him that even though we were like Barabbas—guilty and deserving of judgment—Jesus took our place and bore our punishment on the cross. Rejoice that through Christ, our sins are forgiven, our old self is crucified, and we are given new life. Thank Him for His grace that continues to pursue us and for His constant intercession on our behalf.
  • Repent for the times you have chosen to please people instead of standing firm in truth, and for the moments you have acted unjustly in your thoughts, words, or actions. Ask for forgiveness for taking the sacrifice of Jesus lightly and for living as if your old self still has control. Pray that you would truly die to sin and live in the new life Christ has given you, with a heart that is quick to repent, willing to obey, and committed to walk in truth and righteousness.

  • Repent for the times you have responded in the flesh, acted out of fear, or distanced yourself from Jesus when facing pressure or opposition.   • What does Jesus pray for regarding the cup? How does He ultimately submit to the Father’s will?

Thank Him for His victory in prayer that led to our salvation, and for showing that true strength is found in surrendering to God’s will. Rejoice that because of Jesus’ faithfulness, we now have access to God and the grace to walk in obedience.
  • Repent for the times you have relied on your own strength instead of seeking God in prayer, especially in moments of pressure and difficulty. Ask for forgiveness for the ways you have resisted God’s will or chosen comfort and ease over obedience. Pray that you may learn to surrender your desires fully to God, to remain spiritually alert, and to trust Him even when the path is hard.

A church is not meant to be a rigid institution that stays unchanged over time. A vibrant church evolves by embracing the dreams inspired by the Holy Spirit and making a meaningful impact on this lost world. 1. Start with a prayer

2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)

  • Share a dream (big or small) that once felt impossible to you but eventually came true. What made it happen?

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

  • Read the passage. What is the significance of “sowing in tears” and “reaping with joy” in what was happening to the Israelites?
  • What does the passage teach about God’s role in both fulfilling past dreams and sustaining present ones?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

  • When you look at your life today, do you feel more like you are celebrating fulfilled dreams or struggling in a “sowing in tears” season? How is your heart responding to that?
  • What tends to shape your dreams more—your circumstances or your view of God? Were there dreams you had let go of because they felt too difficult or impossible? What does that reveal about your trust in God?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)

  • How aligned are your personal dreams with God’s dream of making disciples? What might God be inviting you to realign?
  • How can you take a step toward deeper involvement in discipleship as a disciple and disciple-maker?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)

  • Praise the Heavenly Father for His faithfulness across generations—that He is the God who fulfills what seems impossible and turns sorrow into joy. Thank Him for the countless ways He has led and sustained the church, providing direction, provision, and purpose through every season. Rejoice that history is truly His story, and that He invites you to be part of His greater mission of making disciples and transforming lives for His glory.
  • Repent for the times you have allowed your circumstances, fears, or limitations to shape your dreams more than God’s power and promises. Ask for forgiveness for pursuing your own ambitions while neglecting God’s call to invest in people and make disciples. Pray that you may surrender your dreams to Him, trust Him even in seasons of “sowing in tears,” and realign your heart to dream with God for His kingdom purposes.

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

  • Read the passage. What specific attitudes or actions in Isaac, Rebekah, Esau, and Jacob showed dysfunction in their family?
  • What does this passage reveal about the difference between God’s will and human desires?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

  • In what ways do you see tendencies of favoritism, manipulation, or selfishness in your own heart?
  • Do you sometimes justify wrong methods to achieve what you believe is right or “from God”? What does that reveal about your trust in Him?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)

  • What is one specific step you can take this week to align your decisions with God’s truth rather than your flesh?
  • How can you practice fairness, integrity, and godliness in your relationships within your family?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)

  • Praise the Heavenly Father for being a perfect and faithful God despite the brokenness of human families. Thank Him that even when families are marked by sin, favoritism, and failure, His purposes still prevail. Rejoice that He lovingly invites you into a journey of discipleship where He patiently teaches, corrects, and transforms your heart according to His will.
  • Repent for the times you have chosen your own ways over God’s ways—whether through favoritism, manipulation, selfish desires, or disobedience. Ask for forgiveness for trying to achieve good outcomes through sinful methods and for prioritizing temporary or worldly things over spiritual truths. Pray that you may learn to trust God’s process, walk in integrity, and obey Him fully in every area of your life.

  • Share a recent experience where you followed instructions even if you didn’t fully comprehend them. Were you able to accomplish what was asked of you?

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

  • Read the passage. What does Jesus’ foretelling of Judas’ betrayal reveal about His knowledge and authority?
  • How does Jesus reinterpret the Passover meal? What does it reveal about God’s plan of salvation?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

  • What is your current posture when you come to God—grateful and surrendered, or distracted and distant? Where is this rooted?
  • In what areas may you be ignoring God’s warnings or conviction, similar to how Judas resisted repentance?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)

  • What is one specific area this week where you can actively trust, obey, and follow God’s instructions, even if they’re unclear?
  • What sin or unhealthy pattern do you need to repent from today? What concrete step will you take to turn away from it?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)

  • Praise the Heavenly Father for His sovereign plan of redemption that was perfectly fulfilled through Christ Jesus. Thank Him that nothing happens outside of His control, even in the darkest moments, and that He willingly gave His Son to save us. Rejoice in the new covenant made through Jesus’ body and blood, and thank Him for His proactive love that seeks and redeems us.
  • Repent for the times you have doubted God’s control or resisted His leading in your life. Ask for forgiveness for moments when you ignored His warnings, delayed repentance, or allowed your heart to drift away from Him. Pray that you would turn back fully to God, walk in humility and obedience, and live a life that continually honors Christ’s sacrifice.
