A church is not meant to be a rigid institution that stays unchanged over time. To mark our church’s 39th anniversary and Resurrection Sunday, Reverend Jeremiah Cheung draws on Psalm 126 and encourages us to keep being God’s Dreamers.

Read Today’s Scripture Passage

1. Start with a prayer

2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)

Share a dream (big or small) that once felt impossible to you but eventually came true. What made it happen?

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

Read the passage. What is the significance of “sowing in tears” and “reaping with joy” in what was happening to the Israelites?

What does the passage teach about God’s role in both fulfilling past dreams and sustaining present ones?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

When you look at your life today, do you feel more like you are celebrating fulfilled dreams or struggling in a “sowing in tears” season? How is your heart responding to that?

What tends to shape your dreams more—your circumstances or your view of God? Were there dreams you had let go of because they felt too difficult or impossible? What does that reveal about your trust in God?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)

How aligned are your personal dreams with God’s dream of making disciples? What might God be inviting you to realign?

How can you take a step toward deeper involvement in discipleship as a disciple and disciple-maker?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)

Praise the Heavenly Father for His faithfulness across generations—that He is the God who fulfills what seems impossible and turns sorrow into joy. Thank Him for the countless ways He has led and sustained the church, providing direction, provision, and purpose through every season. Rejoice that history is truly His story, and that He invites you to be part of His greater mission of making disciples and transforming lives for His glory.

Repent for the times you have allowed your circumstances, fears, or limitations to shape your dreams more than God’s power and promises. Ask for forgiveness for pursuing your own ambitions while neglecting God’s call to invest in people and make disciples. Pray that you may surrender your dreams to Him, trust Him even in seasons of “sowing in tears,” and realign your heart to dream with God for His kingdom purposes.

1. Start with a prayer

2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)

Share a time when you tried to achieve something good but used the wrong approach. What happened?

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

Read the passage. What specific attitudes or actions in Isaac, Rebekah, Esau, and Jacob showed dysfunction in their family?

What does this passage reveal about the difference between God’s will and human desires?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

In what ways do you see tendencies of favoritism, manipulation, or selfishness in your own heart?

Do you sometimes justify wrong methods to achieve what you believe is right or “from God”? What does that reveal about your trust in Him?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)

What is one specific step you can take this week to align your decisions with God’s truth rather than your flesh?

How can you practice fairness, integrity, and godliness in your relationships within your family?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)

Praise the Heavenly Father for being a perfect and faithful God despite the brokenness of human families. Thank Him that even when families are marked by sin, favoritism, and failure, His purposes still prevail. Rejoice that He lovingly invites you into a journey of discipleship where He patiently teaches, corrects, and transforms your heart according to His will.

Repent for the times you have chosen your own ways over God’s ways—whether through favoritism, manipulation, selfish desires, or disobedience. Ask for forgiveness for trying to achieve good outcomes through sinful methods and for prioritizing temporary or worldly things over spiritual truths. Pray that you may learn to trust God’s process, walk in integrity, and obey Him fully in every area of your life.

1. Start with a prayer

2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)

Share a recent experience where you followed instructions even if you didn’t fully comprehend them. Were you able to accomplish what was asked of you?

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

Read the passage. What does Jesus’ foretelling of Judas’ betrayal reveal about His knowledge and authority?

How does Jesus reinterpret the Passover meal? What does it reveal about God’s plan of salvation?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

What is your current posture when you come to God—grateful and surrendered, or distracted and distant? Where is this rooted?

In what areas may you be ignoring God’s warnings or conviction, similar to how Judas resisted repentance?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)

Praise the Heavenly Father for His sovereign plan of redemption that was perfectly fulfilled through Christ Jesus. Thank Him that nothing happens outside of His control, even in the darkest moments, and that He willingly gave His Son to save us. Rejoice in the new covenant made through Jesus’ body and blood, and thank Him for His proactive love that seeks and redeems us.

Repent for the times you have doubted God’s control or resisted His leading in your life. Ask for forgiveness for moments when you ignored His warnings, delayed repentance, or allowed your heart to drift away from Him.
4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

In what ways might you be like Judas—externally following Jesus but internally driven by other desires?

Examine your daily rhythms: How do you remember and live in light of Jesus’ sacrifice (e.g., prayer, communion, serving others)? Are there ways that God is inviting you to integrate more into your day-to-day?

Praise the Heavenly Father for His unwavering faithfulness and steadfast love, even in the face of human betrayal. Rejoice that no sin or failure can overturn His perfect plan, and that His grace continually invites us into fellowship with Him.

Repent for the times you have chosen your own desires over Jesus, allowing sin to lead your heart away from Him.

1. Start with a prayer

2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)

Share about a time you gave something valuable (time, money, effort, opportunity) to someone because they were important to you. What made you willing to give it?

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

Read the passage. How does it contrast the woman’s devotion with the attitudes of the religious leaders and Judas?

According to Jesus, why was the woman’s act considered a beautiful thing? What deeper meaning did it point to?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

Which of the three heart conditions in this passage (power, money, love) do you find most tempting or influential in your life? Where is this rooted?

Be honest: How much is Jesus truly worth in your heart? If someone observed your daily decisions (how you spend time, energy, and resources), what do you think they would say that fills your heart the most?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)

Is there something in your life that might be competing with Jesus for your wholehearted devotion or affection? Or, is there something valuable that God may be asking you to offer to Him? Identify what this may be and how you can begin to surrender it, starting this week.

How can you intentionally cultivate a heart that loves Jesus more deeply so that your actions flow from love rather than from duty or pressure?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)

Praise the Heavenly Father for filling our hearts with the love of Christ Jesus. Thank Him for revealing the beauty and worth of His Son, who gave His life for us on the cross. Rejoice that through Christ we are freed from the empty pursuits of power, wealth, and worldly gain, and that God invites us to live lives that honor Him. Thank Him for the opportunity to offer our lives as a beautiful expression of love and devotion to Him.

Repent for the times your heart has been consumed by things other than Jesus—whether power, money, success, comfort, or recognition. Ask for forgiveness for allowing these desires to shape your decisions and priorities more than your love for Christ. Pray that God would transform your heart so that it may be filled with genuine love for Him, and that you may respond with timely obedience and wholehearted devotion.

People respond to Christ in different ways. Some react with anger, while others show hypocrisy. But those who truly worship Him honor Him with their whole hearts. This Sunday, Rev. Mike Cariño asks: “How do we respond to Christ?” Do we resist Him, turn away from Him, or choose to follow Him?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

May mga pagkakataon ba na dini-delay mo ang pagsunod kay God dahil mahirap o may cost? Ano ang sinasabi nito tungkol sa gaano mo vinavalue si Jesus? Nakikita ba ito sa mga priorities at decisions mo?

2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

Read the passage. What specific events does Jesus say will happen before the Son of Man comes?

What specific commands does Jesus give His followers while waiting? What does this look like for us today?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

Be honest: If Jesus were to return today, are you truly prepared to meet Him? What areas of your life show readiness, or lack of it? In what ways have you grown spiritually sleepy or distracted in your walk with God?

Does your daily life reflect that you are a child of light? Where might darkness still be tolerated in your habits, relationships, or private life?

What is one practical way you can be more intentionally alert, prayerful, and guarded against deception and false teaching this week?

What opportunity has God entrusted to you? Have you been serving faithfully, or have you become passive while waiting? How does God want you to fulfill this mission starting this week?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)

Praise the Heavenly Father because He is sovereign over history and faithful to fulfill every word He has spoken.
The return of Jesus is certain; He has given us signs that indicate His second coming. This Sunday, Pastor Nathan Tee identifies the key signs and major events that characterize the End Times, explaining how and why we need to prepare ourselves for these events.

Read Today’s Scripture Passage

Mark 13:24-37

1. Start with a prayer

2. Engage one another (15-30 mins)

Share a time you delayed doing something important because you thought there was still a lot of time. What happened in the end?

3. Engage the mind (15-20 mins)

Read the passage. What signs and events will accompany the return of the Son of Man?

Why are the warnings about Jesus’ return meant to prepare believers rather than help them predict the future?

4. Engage the heart (15-20 mins)

In what ways might you be spiritually “sleeping” or neglecting what God has entrusted to you?

Do you tend to ignore or minimize the reality of Christ’s return in your daily life? What attitudes or habits reveal whether you are truly living in expectation of Jesus’ return?

5. Engage the hands (15-20 mins)

What change can you make in your priorities so that your life reflects readiness for Jesus’ return?

What responsibility or stewardship has God entrusted to you (family, ministry, discipleship, work)? How can you handle it more faithfully?

6. Engage with God in prayer (20-30 mins)

Praise the Heavenly Father because He is sovereign over history and faithful to accomplish everything He has declared. Thank Him that Jesus will return in glory as King and Lord, and that His coming will fulfill all His promises. Rejoice that He has graciously made us part of His Kingdom and entrusted us with the privilege of serving Him while we wait for His return. Thank Him that His Word reveals what we need to know so that we may live in readiness and hope.

Repent for the times you have lived as though Christ’s return is distant or unimportant. Ask for forgiveness for being spiritually complacent, neglecting the responsibilities and opportunities God has entrusted to you. Confess the ways you have become distracted, lazy, or careless in stewarding your life, relationships, and ministry. Pray that the Lord would awaken your heart so that you may live faithfully, alert, and ready for the day when you will stand before Him.
