The life of Samson shows us that true freedom is not found by abandoning ourselves to our human nature, for that is indulgence. Only freedom which comes from the Truth is true freedom.
There were four important women in Samson’s life: his mother, a Philistine girl, the prostitute in Gaza, and Delilah. Apart from his mother who was a good influence on him, the other three women brought Samson harm. Samson’s failures in life all had something to do with these women. Samson’s weakness was his failure in the aspect of his sexual relations with the opposite sex. Not only is this Samson’s weakness, but this is a struggle for all men, so we must take special precaution in this area!
Samson was the strongest judge and yet the worst failure. The Lord had given him a set of godly parents who took precautions for his sake, but Samson himself did not take precautions, and this led to his failure. How about you, have you taken precautions for yourself?
We live in a world filled with pressure. No one can escape from these pressures, but we can benefit from them. How can pressure benefit us?
