About Us

Who we are

The Christian Bible Church of the Philippines was founded in 1987 for the purpose of establishing a church that is both faithful to Christ who is our Head, and that walks according to the teachings of the Bible.

Our Vision

To see generations of Christ-like disciples transforming lives and families, impacting communities and nations for the glory of God.

Our Mission

To know God.
To love people.
To make disciples.

A CBCP Disciple

An authentic follower of Jesus, growing in Christ-likeness and making disciples of the same kind.

Our Purpose

At the Christian Bible Church of the Philippines, the Bible is our foundation and the Lord Jesus Christ is the center of our church.

We exist for the sole purpose of fulfilling the Great Commandment and the Great Commission of Christ. The Great Commandment tells us to love the Lord our God with our whole heart, will, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. The Great Commission sends us to make disciples of all nations, that the lost may receive eternal life, and multitudes from all nations may become Christ’s disciples.

The Great Commandment

The Great Commandment is found in Matthew 22: 36-40 where Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

We celebrate God’s presence and express our love to God through our worship. We exist as a worshipping community of Filipino-Chinese descent celebrating that mighty act of God – the advent of Christ, His death, resurrection, and second coming – as its central activity. We demonstrate God’s love by loving our neighbors and caring for one another, encouraging and sharing with one another, and meeting both the spiritual and physical needs of members and others.

The Great Commission

The Great Commission is found in Matthew 28: 19-20 where Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Through evangelism and missions, we testify to the world about the good news of God’s plan for the eternal salvation of man. Through our Evangelism and Mission ministry, we educate God’s people and promote personal spiritual growth, the development of Christian character and virtue, and the cultivation of a godly way of life in speech and conduct of each member.

Our Beliefs

  • The Holy Bible, composed of sixty-six (66) canonical books of the Old and the New Testament, is the inspired Word of God. It is absolutely inerrant in its original writings, infallible, sufficient, and is the Supreme and final authority for faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16; Matthew 5:18; 2 Peter 1:3-4, 20-21; John 16:12,13).

  • There is one God, eternally existing in three Persons: God the Father, Jesus Christ – God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections (Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14, Matthew 28:18-20).

  • Jesus Christ being God, became fully man, but not ceasing to be God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of Mary in a virgin birth (John 1:1,2, 14; Luke 1:35), lived without sin, died as the substitution and propitiation for the redemption of man; physically resurrected from the dead (2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15; Romans 3:24-25; 1 Peter 1:3-5), ascended bodily into heaven, now exalted at the right hand of God the Father as the mediator between God and man, being man’s High Priest and Advocate (1 Timothy 2:5; Acts 1:9; Hebrews 7:25; 9:24; Romans 8:34; 1 John 2:1-2). He is the head of His body, the church (Ephesians 1:22, 5:23-32; Colossians 1:18). He will personally and bodily come again to establish His kingdom on earth with the universal church as His bride (Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:1-15).

  • The Holy Spirit is convicting the world of sin and righteousness; regenerating, uniting, indwelling, sanctifying, illuminating, and empowering for service all who place their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:16-17, 16:7-15; Romans 8:26-27; Galatians 5:22-25; 1 Corinthians 6:19; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11; Ephesians 2:22).
  • Man was created in God’s image, has sinned by nature and by choice, is alienated from God and depraved and is incapable of regaining the favor of God apart from God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Genesis 1:26-27; Ephesians 2:1-3; Romans 3:22-23; 5:12).

  • There is one universal church composed of all true believers in Jesus Christ from every time and place which finds earthly expression in the form of local congregations of believers (Acts 2:1-21, 38-47; Ephesians 2:11-3:6).

  • There will be a bodily resurrection of all men, both the saved and the unsaved unto judgement – the former unto eternal bliss in heaven with God, the latter unto eternal conscious suffering in hell with Satan (Matthew 25:31-46; John 14:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 4:13-17; Revelation 20:10).

  • All the saved are commissioned to testify with their lives and words about the truths of the Holy Bible and to proclaim the eternal salvation plan of God to all mankind (Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 5:19-20).

  • All the redeemed, once truly saved, are kept by God’s power, secured in Christ forever, and guaranteed never to perish, and it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of salvation through the testimony of God’s word (John 10:27-29; Romans 8:35-39; Colossians 3:3-4; Philippians 1:6; 2 Timothy 4:18; 1 Peter 1:3-5).

  • Christ will return visibly, physically and suddenly, in power and great glory, and that He will gather His elect, raise the dead, judge the nations and establish His eternal kingdom (Matthew 24:27; John 14:1-3; John 5:22-23; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 4:13-17).
